Additional Industry Codes
SIC (Standard Industrial Classification) Codes and NAICS (North American Industry Classification System) Codes are in common use throughout the United States and North America. There are additional industry classifications in use throughout the world. These systems may be mapped to the SIC and NAICS code systems or in other instances are isolated to one or two particular countries. Similar to SIC and NAICS codes, the following codes use a numerical system to classify business by industry code.
Additional Industry Classification Systems
- ISIC - International Standard Industrial Classification of All Economic Acitivities - The international reference classification of productive activities according to the kind of economic activity in the fields of production, employment, GDP, and other statistical areas
- NACE - Nomenclature of Economic Activities - Eurpoean statistical classification of economic activities grouped according to their business activities
- UKSIC - Standard Industrial Classification of the United Kingdom - UK system for classifying business establishments and other statistical units by the type of economic activity in which they are engaged
- ANZSIC - Australian and New Zealand Standard Industrial Classification - used in both countries to classify business for the production and analysis of industry statistics
- SCIAN Français - Système de classification des industries de l'Amérique du Nord - French language version of the NAICS system
- SCIAN Español - Sistema de Clasificación Industrial de América del Norte - Spanish language version of the NAICS system
